Importance of a Spiritual house

1. Who is the church?

The word "church" originates from the Greek word - "Ecclesia", when translated means: "Called out." In other words every person who were called out of darkness into the light of God is part of the church.

2. What is a Spiritual House?

A spiritual house is the gathering place of church members in a Local City, town or suburb. A spiritual house has a spiritual leader / father who shares his God given vision with the people/ church. God calls the global church together in local churches. These local churches serve as a spiritual house.

3. What is the mission of the Church?

To continue with the work of Jesus Christ by sharing the Word of God in order for people to be saved.

Matthew 28:18-20 - And Jesus came and spoke unto them saying:

"All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go you therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you…"

Jesus also tells the church to do the same works He did and says that we can do even greater works - John 14:12. We must understand that these instructions are given to the global church, which includes the local church, not only to the Pastor or church leader, but also to every member. Therefore it is important to understand whom it is God gives these instructions to.

4. How did Churches turn away from these instructions?

Instead of sharing the whole gospel they teach half-truths in order for them not to upset the people (2 Timothy 4:3-4).They fear the people and not God - 1 Samuel 17:24. The church must remember that it is only the whole truth that will set us free (John 8:32).

Some churches cling unto human traditions, which oppose the word of God - Mark 7:6-9 &13.

The whole revelation of God's word isn't always shared, therefore causing the doubt and uncertainty - Luke 11:52, Matthew 23:13.  They perish due to their lack of knowledge and understanding - Hosea 4:6

They reject the power of the gospel, e.g. Deliverance, Salvation, Healing - 2 Timothy 3:5

5. Discerning Between Right and Wrong. Which Church?

A Church living according to the Great Commission of Jesus, Matthew 28:19, is the right church.

We must understand however that there are many churches proclaiming the word of God and the Name of Jesus, but they aren't right. (Matthew 7:22,23).

6. How to discern between the real and the fake?

- A tree is known by its fruit.

- A church is known by its members.

- A list of good fruit:

Sharing the Gospel - Matthew 28:19

Praying for the sick Luke 4:18

Deliver people from bondage of the devil

Show the power of God, not only in words - 1 Corinthians 4:20

7. Whom must I follow?

Follow Jesus.A church following in His footsteps is on the right track - Philippians 3:17

We must also understand that God gives leaders (Godly men) to lead the church. We must follow the servant of God for he knows the will of the Father, just as Jesus did.

When you follow the man of God, you follow God.

The church work together towards accomplishing that vision by obeying the Great Commission -Matthew 28:19 and following the direction set by the spiritual father.

What does God expect me to do in my Spiritual House:

  • I must worship Him - Matthew 22:37
  • I must submit to the vision - 1 Timothy 4:13-16
  • I must be loyal to my leader - 2 Kings 2:6
  • I must be faithful - Hebrews 10:25

Your highest priority is to do the work of God - Matthew 28:19.When you love Him, you'll obey Him.

To be a doer - James 1:22

Faithfulness in the Kingdom of God

There are many important principles in the Bible, but there is perhaps not 1 principle more important than the principle of faithfulness.

It is important to pray, it is important to read the Bible, it is important to attend church, etc. but if you are not faithful in doing this, you will never grow.

Let's look at what the Bible says about Faithfulness.

Read Matthew 25:14-30. God gives us many talents, opportunities, etc. He gives us life.

I once heard a man say: Who you are, is God’s gift to you, who you become, is your gift to God.

God wants to give us everything, but He first wants us to be faithful.

As a new Christian things God wants you to be faithful in are:

- Prayer (1 Thes 5:23)

- Bible study (1 Timothy 4:13)

- Attending cell and Church (Hebrews 10:25)

- Finances (Luke 16:10-11)

- Doing good (Galatians 6:9)
