Constitution: Declaration of faith

  1. We believe in the original text of the Old and New Testament as fully inspired by God and accepts it as the highest and final authority for faith living
  2. We believe in one God who forever exists in three Persons, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit
  3. We believe that Jesus Christ as Gods only begotten Son, was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary and is fully God and fully man
  4. We believe that God has created man in His image, that mankind has sinned and therefore deserve the wages of sin, physically and spiritually, that all mankind inherited a sinful nature, which results (when people reach the age of spiritual and moral responsibility), in real transgressions with personal liability
  5. With regard to sexual behaviour, we believe in heterosexual relationships between a natural man and a natural woman within the confines of lawful matrimony. Adherence to this stated principle of sexual behaviour is an inherent requirement with Dunamis International Family Church
  6. We believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins as a substitute offering and according to Scriptures, by His blood that was shed for us everyone who believes in Him will be justified
  7. We believe in the bodily resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, His ascension to Heaven and His present life as our High Priest and Advocate
  8. We believe in the personal return of our Lord Jesus Christ
  9. We believe that all who repent of their sins and accept Jesus Christ as their Saviour through faith will be born again through the Holy Spirit and will become children of God
  10. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, which provides the believers with power and equips them with supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit and fellowship with Him. We believe that God has given the offices of apostle, prophet, shepherd, evangelist and teacher
  11. With regards to submission to authority, we believe in the principle of being in authority because you are under authority. As such it is understood that all leaders and members of Dunamis International Family Church shall be subject to submission to authority in matters pertaining to church government, doctrine and personal behaviour
  12. We believe in the resurrection of both the believers and unbelievers, the blessed eternity for the redeemed and the eternal banishment for those that rejected God’s offer for redemption
  13. We believe that the one true church exists of all people who have been redeemed, born again and Spirit filled by the Holy Spirit. The local church must take up the character of a spiritual church with the confession of the personal testimony of Jesus Christ
  14. We believe that Jesus Christ has ordered two decrees, baptism in water and the Holy Communion. Both steps of obedience must be obeyed to be witnesses forever of the main ordinance of our Christian faith. Baptism in water of the believer is a confession and identification with Jesus Christ, who has died and was resurrected. The Holy Communion symbolizes the partaking of our Redeemers broken body and blood that was shed in remembrance of His death, until He comes again
  15. We believe that there is provision for healing, Exodus 15:23-26, Psalm 103:1-3, Isaiah 53:4-5 and it forms an integral part of the Gospel, Matthew 8:16-17, Acts 5:16
  16. We believe that the Bible teaches that without holiness nobody will see God. We believe that the doctrine of holiness forms a determined and progressive work of grace, which starts at the new birth and is only, completed in our salvation, Hebrews 12:14, 1 Thessalonians 5:23, 2 Peter 3:18, 2 Corinthians 3:18, Philippians 3:12-14, 1 Corinthians 1:30
  17. Dunamis International Family Church (DIFC) encourages the involvement of all its members in the local church. As such it is understood that if you are a member of DIFC you will submit any form of ministry in and outside of DIFC to the Senior Pastor of DIFC. In the case of people wanting to continue with their ministries, without becoming members of DIFC, it is understood that such people are welcome to continue to relate with DIFC (attending services and cell groups) but understand that DIFC and its members distant themselves completely from any form of ministry by such an individual
  18. The Church is open for any further truth that is emphasized by the Holy Spirit from the Scriptures
